Central Algoma Intermediate Program

Group-Shot-2013_web.jpgIn September 2013, over one hundred and forty Grade 7 and 8 students became the first of the

new intermediate program at Central Algoma Secondary School (CASS), now called Central Algoma Intermediate School (CAIS).

The intermediate program provides students with a gradual transition into secondary school. Students experience a partial rotary timetable, which makes the transition to a secondary school routine easier. Grade 7 and 8 students find themselves in a more mature environment that provides specialized rooms, lockers, a cafeteria, athletics, intramurals, extra-curricular clubs and laptop technology.

CAIS students are able to take part in student and athletic council, yearbook and reach ahead experiences and all these opportunities help to prepare students for their future secondary and post-secondary education.
